Prince of Persia: Sands of Time

The most outstanding thing about this game is its story. The player gets to be a young Prince, who steals a mystical dagger and unleashes the Sands of Time, which lead to the death of his family and thousands of innocents. The main experience in the game is the development of the relationship between the Prince and Farah, his ally, and the choice the Price makes at the end of this story to sacrifice the love in order to save his kingdom.

God of War II

By the time the game was released, a PS3 was already out there on the market. However, the developers chose to stick to the PS2, improved some small imperfections from the first game and so one of the smoothest and most functional gameplays ever has been created. The main character Kratos goes through some truly epic challenges; he’s not satisfied with becoming a god; he choses to defy all the other gods.

Final Fantasy X

This game has been specifically created for the fans of the Final Fantasy series. It was the first game from in the franchise for PS2, as well as the first one with a full cast of voice actors. Two characters, potential lovers, Tidus and Yuna, are on a mission to stop the deadly force Sin. The turn-based battle system is one of the biggest strengths of the Final Fantasy X.

The gameset, Vice City, is clearly inspired by the Miami in the ‘80s. It’s all about fast cars, fast bucks and fast women. Resident Evil 4

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

This was the last game to this series on the PS2. The player becomes Carl Johnson, a former gang member, who, after his mother’s death, returns to San Andreas, reunites with the gang and sets off on a mission to rule the town. The players gets to enjoy all the perks, that come with a real gangster lifestyle. Also, other gang members can join in the battles and so the main character doesn’t have to fight all the battles solo, as opposed to the other games.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater

The Snake must kill off several memorable fantastic characters. The epic spinning battle with The End, who is normally wheelchair-bound, can be played out as strategic battle or a rapid brutal hunt. Initially the game was meant to be the last piece of the Metal Gear Solid trilogy, though a further, fourth part was released later on. By far the best story in the series. A fascinating combination of a roller coaster and a Cold War intrigue.

Kingdom Hearts

It’s a role-playing game, a tale about friendship and loyalty, set up in the universe that combines Disney faces and worlds with Final Fantasy characters. Great visuals and strong battle system. The main character, Sora, and Donald Duck and Goofy travel together to find Sora’s lost friends and whilst doing so, they help out several other Disney characters. The top reason to remember the game is the powerful bond that three friends, Sora, Riku and Kairi, share.

Shadow of the Colossus

Inventive game design, fabulous visual execution, artistic expression. Playing this uniquely designed game evokes adventure, love and guilt. Wander, the main character is on a lonely mission to kill 16 colossi in a forbidden land. There are no coins to be collected nor any enemies to fight; the intimidating beasts appear as surprise and each battle represents a brilliant challenge that requires planning and execution.
